Every now and again something that someone says can throw us a out of kilter completely unexpectedly.

I had precisely such an experience this morning, and I have to admit that my confidence took a nosedive in general. I’m unfortunately the type who wears my heart on my sleeve, and when something’s not right, it’s not hard to tell.

My husband, the saint that he is, immediately picked up that something was a little off. I shared exactly where I was at and what got me there, without being told that I’m silly or over reacting – even though I may have been.

After a long chat I was back to myself, but I needed to thrash it out with someone who knows me well enough to understand exactly how something small could actually push my buttons.

There is so much truth in the saying that a problem shared is a problem halved – I actually even think that it results in a problem solved.
