Saturdays have the tendency to fill up very quickly, especially with the sports activities of the kids. Today was no different – rugby season has officially started, with the first of many Saturdays spent on the pavilion.
This was followed by a lovely 80th birthday lunch for my amazing mother in law. I was so inspired and impressed by all the glamorous ladies dressed To a T. And can they natter – never a dull moment between them!
Then it was a big rush to get my son to the pre-drinks of a matric dance that he was invited to as a date on time. So literally – go, go, go.
In the late afternoon I found some time to stand in the garden with a hosepipe, mindlessly watching the water seep into the ground. With our garden only being a few months old, it is the biggest thrill to see how the plants have made progress – the creepers are slowly but surely starting to make their way up the wall.
With a hosepipe in hand, it is the perfect excuse to be purposefully busy but to zone out for a little while.
