On this rainy and chilly evening before the Easter weekend, I feel a major need just to slow down.
Whether you’re religious or not, Easter Friday is the perfect opportunity to wind down as most businesses and shops are closed – a perfect time to just be.
The past couple of weeks have been crazy to say the least – our mad president made sure of that. Everything’s been upside down and not one day has just been normal – maybe that’s why I feel so strongly that we need to dedicate this time to press pause and catch up with ourselves a bit.
I have a family reunion this weekend, with aunts and uncles and cousins from my dad’s side of the family – some that I’ve not seen for more than 20 years. So for us this weekend will be about togetherness – about reconnecting.
I think that’s what the world and all its people need right now – a time to reconnect with themselves and with each other, but most of all, a time to reconnect with peace.
